Hi, we plan to Trek to Bhimashankar next weekend. Does anybody know if the Ganapati Temple on the way is a good place to spend the night before completing the climb.
Generally trekkers stay overnight at Khandas (Base village before Bhimashankar climb) or near Karjat Station. Ganapati Temple is around 30 to 40 minutes walk from Khandas village and generally no villager available there in case you need food and tea top be prepared. If your group knows the way upto the temple and you have ample ration water with you; you can consider staying there. (M. Asif).
